Privacy policy

Your information, handled properly.

How we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information, written to follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

Draft This policy is a draft pending legal review. Items marked TBC will be confirmed before launch.

Who we are

F & D Consulting (Fernando & Dias) is a service provided by SYSGIANTS (PVT) LTD, a private company registered in Sri Lanka (company number PV 00336209). It provides finance and systems diagnostics, and related finance, audit-readiness and web services, to businesses in Australia and internationally. In this policy, "we" means F & D Consulting and SYSGIANTS (PVT) LTD. The plain-English version of how we treat client data during an engagement is on How we handle your data.

What we collect

When you contact us

Your name, work email, company, company size and anything you choose to tell us about your business. When you send a contact form or your results from one of our free tools, the website passes it straight to our team by email through our email delivery provider, Resend, and may send you a short confirmation; the website itself keeps no copy. If the form cannot send, it opens your own email app instead.

If you book a call online, your name, email, chosen time and any note go to our scheduling provider, Cal.com, which sends the calendar invitations.

During an engagement

Business information you give us access to, which may include personal information about your staff, customers and suppliers held in your systems. We collect only what the diagnostic needs.

On this website

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies and does not identify you: visits are counted with an anonymised, daily-rotating identifier, and the data is kept in aggregate. It also uses Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly pages load for visitors in the same anonymous, aggregate way. The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.

The free website check sends the web address you enter to Google PageSpeed Insights, which tests that page. Questions you type into “Ask our guides” are sent, with excerpts from our published guides, to Google’s Gemini service, which writes the answer. While we use Google’s free tier, Google may use those questions to improve its products, so please do not include personal or confidential information.

The free tools

When you use a free tool (the self-check, the scorecard, the calculators, the website check and Ask our guides), we keep an anonymous record of your answers and the result, the time, and the country your connection comes from, so we can see how the tools are used and improve them. The record holds no name, email address, IP address or cookie, and nothing else that identifies you. It is stored with our website host, Vercel. If you choose to send us your results, they reach us by email as described above.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call.
  • To carry out and report on an engagement you have agreed to.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists.

Who we share it with

Only the named people working on your engagement, and the service providers we use to run the website and its tools (Vercel, Resend, Cal.com and Google) and to host working files TBC, under confidentiality obligations. We disclose information where the law requires it.

Overseas access

Some personal information may be accessed from outside Australia by people working on your engagement. The countries involved and the safeguards in place TBC will be listed here and in your engagement letter before any access is granted.

Security and retention

Access is read-only where possible, limited to named people, logged, and covered by a confidentiality agreement. We keep engagement data only as long as the engagement and our legal obligations require TBC, then delete it and confirm the deletion to you.

Access and correction

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@fd-consulting.example. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, email us first and we will respond in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
